If you think you know New York then you are a fan. The shoes are to die for. It is expensive to stay on Long Island but the sites are amazing. I would suggest that you make reservations at a place that provides parking as it is in short supply. We arrived on Long Island at 3am and spent the night in the car. The next morning we jumped in a tour bus and nodded off as we toured the sites. There is a lot to take in. We then looked for a room. This was a big mistake as for $100 we found a real dive.
