Long Island Sound Pollution Affects All

Long Island Sound is a partly enclosed coastal body of the Atlantic Ocean in between Bronx County and New York City. Not long ago, many were fearful of swimming in the Sound or eating its fish due to the pollution. Thankfully there have been reports of the water quality getting better according to officials from the Long Island Sound Study. Levels of nitrogen have decreased in the waters and before that happened there was little optimism for a better future.
